Reserve: Frustrating defeat in Saint-Malo

Reserve: Frustrating defeat in Saint-Malo

After three matches without defeat (two wins and one draw), Stade Rennes’ reserve lost its game against US Saint-Malo, this Saturday (2-3).

The first half-time was dominated by Saint-Malo, directed by former Rennais Pierre-Yves David. A domination materialised by two goals scored after free kicks from the right side. A 2-0 score-line at half-time, which could have been worse, looking at all the occasions conceded.

In the second half, Laurent Huard’s players reacted well, with the entrance of forwards Abdoulaye Sané and particularly Jean-Bryan Boukaka, who scored the first goal of his team, before obtaining a penalty, converted by Yacine Qasmi.
Back from nowhere, the Red and Blacks finally lost the match during the final quarter of an hour, with Saint-Malo taking back a winning advantage.
