Reserve: Stade Rennes B sink at Le Mans

Stade Rennes reserve suffered a heavy defeat against their Le Mans counterparts, this Saturday at La Piverdière. Despite the presence of several professionals, including Johann Carrasso, Samuel Souprayen, Tongo Hamed Doumbia and Abdoul Camara, Rennes conceded no less than four goals.

Rennes had started the game in the best of ways, opening the score line after half an hour in the game, a shot by Camara converting a good delivery from Rouger (34’), but seven minutes later, Le Mans equalised through Talma, making the best out of Boye’s defensive error (41’).

Rennes sunk after half-time. Kiaku, just entered for Le Mans, gave his team a first advantage with a header (46’) immediately after the return from the dressing room. Three minutes later, Dieye extended the lead with a volley (49’), before Kiaku finished the game off at the reception of Buaillon’s third assist of the game (52’).

As if this wasn’t enough, Boye was sent off at the 67th minute, leaving his team-mates at 10 against 11 for the remainder of the game.

Beaten four goals to one, Rennes B are increasingly in trouble. They are now five points behind their opponents of the day, who deserve more than ever their leadership in this group.
