Reserve, friendly : Lemoine scores, Rennes beat Pontivy

In a pre-season friendly before the start of the 2011-2012 season, the Stade Rennes reserve (CFA2) beat GSI Pontivy (CFA) in Loudéac (2-1).

The reserve was reinforced by the presence of Fabien Lemoine, Stéphane Dalmat and John Verhoek, all rested by Frédéric Antonetti for the professional squad’s trip to Georgia. Each of these three players spent 70 minutes on the pitch
In the first half, it is Fabien Lemoine who scored the first goal with a perfectly placed free-kick. A first half during which Cheick N’Diaye stopped a penalty. During the second half, shortly after the replacement of the three “pros”, Pontivy equalised with a goal by Jean-Marie Eveno. Finally, at the 88th minute, the Rennes reserve managed to snatch victory, thanks to a header by defender Daouda Gérard, following a corner-kick taken by Axel N’Gando.
