Rustavi - Rennes : The time, the referee and the place are known

Just under a week before Rennes’ travel to Georgia, details of the game have been disclosed by the UEFA, in charge of organising the competition.

To host Stade Rennais, the Metallurgist Rustavi have decided to swap stadiums. Rather than playing in the “little” Poladi Stadium (10,720 seats), their usual ground, the Georgian club will host their opponent in the Boris-Paichadze National Stadium, at the heart of the capital, Tbilisi.
This 54.500 seats stadium is usally hosting the games of the Georgian national team and of the Dinamo Tbilisi. One of Rustavi’s main opponents in the domestic league.

The refereeing trio will come from Cyprus. Mr Marios Panayi has been appointed by the European Federation to be in charge of the game. An international referee since 2010, Mr Panayi has already refereed one European game this season in the Champions League’s first qualifying round.

Finally, the time of the game has been set to 9:00 PM local time. With a two-hour time difference, the game will start at 7:00 PM CET.
