Tettey: “To get over this hamstring trouble once and for all”

Once again nursing a hamstring injury before the latest game on the Road at Saint- Étienne, Alexander Tettey is a major doubt before the final to trip to Lille, this Sunday.

Interviewed on Ligue 1’s website, the Norwegian midfielder hopes to get rid of his recurrent physical problems next season. “Instead of resting and re-energising the body, now I’m heading on holiday thinking about another injury and more rehabilitation and training”, Tettey regrets.

The Norwegian international experienced a lacklustre 2010-2011 season, mainly because of a recalcitrant hamstring injury. “It’s so frustrating. You know, hamstring injuries are part of football and they’re very difficult to treat. You have to be very careful and take your time to get it right. Maybe I need to find some new method to try and heal and get back on track».

By all means, the Stade Rennes player hopes to finally play the 2011-2012 fully, without physical difficulties and with the ability to hold his role in Rennes’ midfield. “I’ll be looking forward to coming back at the end of June and looking hopefully have gotten over this hamstring trouble once and for all, Tettey projects. Hopefully I’ll be able to attack next season in good physical shape because that’s absolutely crucial for my game. At least that’s what I’m hoping for.
