Transfers : Dembélé in Sedan for two years

CS Sedan-Ardennes made the arrival of Bira Dembélé official, through their website, after the player’s contract with Stade Rennes expired.

In Sedan, the centre back will reunited with Laurent Guyot, his manager during his loan spell at Boulogne in the 2009-2010 season. Back in Rennes, Dembélé was promptly side lined by Frédéric Antonetti, who didn’t call him once during the season and left him available for Laurent Huard’s CFA squad.

The story fizzled out for Dembélé, who had been launched to the Ligue 1 scene by Guy Lacombe at the beginning of year 2008. The promises showed at the time remained unfulfilled, and the player failed to convince Lacombe to trust him during the following season, before Antonetti decided not to rely on him.
In the Ardennes, the former U21 international will try to re-launch his career.
