Transfers : Sané signs for three years

After Kamal Issah and Pape Malick Kandji last year, and Cheick Fantamady Diarra this summer, Stade Rennes continue betting on the recruitment of young African players.

According to L’Équipe, the Breton club agreed with Senegalese striker Abdoulaye Sané over a three year deal.
On April 24th, we revealed that Sané had joined the Stade Rennais for a trial period, even playing a friendly game in the presence of Frédéric Antonetti. It now seems that the young striker caught the attention of the Rennes manager on that day.

A member of the Senegalese Olympic team, Sané played for the As Douanes until now, a Dakar club playing in the local first division. Arrived in Brittany a few days ago, he took part in the Ploufragan tournament with the Reserve this week-end, in which he played as a right winger. As Issah, Kandji, and Diarra, he will have to prove his value in the reserve under Laurent Huard’s management first, before hoping for a call-up with the professional squad.
