Transfers: Stand-by for Erding

Transfers: Stand-by for Erding

Stade Rennes have got seven days left to recruit a striker. To this date, the transfer of Mevlüt Erding seems to be the priority target for the Rennes managers, who are still in talk to try and complete a deal.
If Rennes want Erding, Paris won’t hold him, and the player himself is tempted to join Brittany. According to Ouest-France, the Turkish striker « has clearly taken position in favour of the Stade Rennais » despite the interest of several other clubs. Le Parisien also reports “advanced talks” between the player and Stade Rennes, more advanced than the talks between the two clubs.

The reason why Paris and Rennes are yet to find an agreement for the transfer, is also that PSG are actively looking for a replacement to Erding. The departure of the Turkish striker is conditioned to this arrival.
Le Parisien is notably mentioning the names of Diego Milito, Marco Borriello or Diego Forlan, while L’Équipe note a Parisian interest for Moussa Sow. While Lille and Rudi Garcia have already affirmed their interest for Erding, the newspaper hint that he could be part of the talks between the club from the North and Paris over the transfer of the former Rennes striker, best goal scorer in the league last season. An outcome which, if it was to be confirmed, would obviously not be ideal for the Stade Rennais.
