Former Caen player Benoît Costil will take over Nicolas Douchez’ role next season. The goalkeeper signed a three year contract with the Stade Rennais this Tuesday. The best player at his position during the last Ligue 2 season, his arrival is part of a massive mix-up in the goalkeepers’ hierarchy.

Trained in the Stade Rennais Academy between 2000 and 2003 but not kept in by the Breton club at the time, Julien Féret has gone a long way since his first time in Rennes.
