Transfers, official : Ismaël Bangoura in Dubaï
The Stade Rennais’ Guinean striker signed a contract with the club of Al Nasr in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. The transfer fee is thought to be around 8 million pounds, according to information from the Mensuel de Rennes. The transfer was made official by the club this afternoon.
The information has been confirmed by one of the players’ relative today to the Mensuel de Rennes. A few hours later, the information was confirmed on the club’s official website.
The Stade Rennais has now lost its two international strikers, and two highly important members of Antonetti’s squad, after Gyan signed to Sunderland on Tuesday.
Ismaël Bangoura joined his selection this week, to prepare his country’s first qualifying game towards the 2012 ANC, against Ethiopia.
The striker leaves the Stade Rennais after a below par season on the Vilaine banks. A failure for the player, but also for the Stade Rennais Football Club, who paid 12 million euros to recruit him just a year ago.
