Mangane will miss the derby
Ligue 1, Stade rennais - Brest, Saturday 19:00 CET. Kader Mangane will not be leading his squad for the derby against Stade Brestois this Saturday, The Rennes captain had to renounce because of a thigh injury. Kana-Biyik is expected to replace him.
This Friday, Frédéric Antonetti published a squad of eighteen players for the derby against Stade Brestois. The Rennes manager will have to do without his captain, Kader Mangane. After a beginning of sciatica last week, he was still playing in Auxerre. But this time, the defender will have to forfeit because of a thigh injury.
Logically, he should be replaced by Jean-Armel Kana-Biyik, back at centre defence, while Romain Danzé could get the captain armband once again.
No surprise to report in the rest of the squad. Mandjeck, who received a knock to his calf during a camp with his national team, is fit to play.
In Brest, Alex Dupont will have to cope with the injuries of Granddi Ngoyi, who suffers of a broken malleolus, and Larsen Touré, out with an hamstring injury. Former Rennes player Yoann Bigné will return to the Stade de la Route de Lorient, where he hasn’t played since February 2005, with Nice.
