Lemoine will have to wait
Ligue 1, Bordeaux - Stade rennais, Sunday 21:00 CET. Travelling to Gironde this week-end, the Stade Rennes squad will be the same one that beat Monaco last week-end. Still forced to do without several players, Frédéric Antonetti will be happy not to consider Fabien Lemoine as an injured player anymore.
Frédéric Antonetti called-up a squad of nineteen players to take on the Girondins de Bordeaux, Sunday night at the Stade Chaban-Delmas. No changes compared to the squad called for the game against Monaco on Game Week 16.
The Rennes manager is still forced to do without Apam, Marveaux and Théophile-Catherine, but also without Tettey, who should be returning soon. Fabien Lemoine is coming out of the injury list, in which I was since August. The midfielder will return to competitive football tomorrow with the reserve. Friday, during the press conference, Antonetti had affirmed that it was “possible” that the Fougères man could be included in the squad as soon as this week-end. Finally, the return will have to wait.
In Bordeaux, as planned, Jean Tigana will have to cope with the absence of Lamine Sané, injured against Saint-Étienne last week-end. The defender’s absence will complicate the situation, in a team already missing Chalmé, Henrique & Planus.
Tigana however, will be able to rely on Ulrich Ramé, returning from injury to be present as Cédric Carrasso’s replacement, while youngster Salif Sané (the brother of Lamine) is included in the Bordeaux squad for the first time.
