Europa League, Udinese - Stade Rennais, Thursday 21:05 CET. As for the trip to Belgrade, Frédéric Antonetti has decided to call upon a squad of twenty-one players for the game in Italy. The Rennes manager has called most of its available player for this first game of the group phase.

By deciding to call –nearly - all of his squad for the trip of Stade Rennais in Udine, Frédéric Antonetti keeps all his options open before the game on Thursday evening.
As the Rennes squad prepares to take off to northern-Italy as soon as this Wednesday morning, difficult to guess whether the Rennes manager will field his best team or if he will rotate his squad as he had done at Belgrade’s “Marakana”.

Amongst the twenty-one players in the squad, three will sit in the stands for this game. While Cheick N’Diaye will probably be left out, two midfielders should also be joining him. Not called for the last trip to Marseille, Tongo Doumbia and Georges Mandjeck have this time been included in the “Rouge et Noir” squad. The two players will therefore be hoping to return to the starting eleven, which hasn’t happened to Doumbia since Ligue 1’s first game week and the win in Dijon (5-1).
For the rest, the Rennes squad remains quite usual, in the prolonged absence of Brahimi. Victor Hugo Montaño, who had received two yellow cards during the games against the Red Star Belgrade, isn’t suspended since the UEFA has removed all bookings received in the play-offs round. The Colombian will be eligible for a starting position at centre-forward, unless the manager prefers Youssouf Hadji or Razak Boukari.
