Injury blows for Danzé and Montaño

In the Route de Lorient Stadium, the joy of victory was quickly tempered with two very bad news.

Talking to Canal+, Frédéric Antonetti announced at the end of the game that Victor Hugo Montaño had injured himself during the game, forcing his replacement by Abdoul Camara. According to newspaper L’Équipe’s website, the Colombian striker suffers of a hamstring elongation. A real blow, as we know, considering the much reduced number of strikers in the Rennes squad.

Bad news never coming alone, Romain Danzé also picked-up an injury at the end of the game. After he scored the first goal in the game, the Finisterian is suspected to have given himself a distortion of the external ligament of the knee. This could keep him out of the pitches for the next couple of weeks.

Luckily, the next two weeks will be dedicated to international football. This will leave time for both players to recover and come back to the football grounds without missing too many games.
