Sissoko not kept by Laval

On July 13th, Slimane Sissoko had made the short trip between Rennes and Laval to start a trial with the club from Mayenne for a friendly against Lorient (0-0). Entered during the game, the new Rennes professional apparently failed to manage to convince Philippe Hinschberger, since the Laval manager has spoken against his arrival.

Last June, Sissoko had signed (to most observers’ surprise) a one year contract with an option for two more seasons at the same time as Quentin Rouger. Included in the professional squad at the beginning of the summer preparation and left to train with the Reserve since, the young Rennes centre-forward wasn’t called by Laurent Huard for the Ploufragan tournament, played from this Friday to next Sunday.
