While Stade Rennes lost against Udinese (1-2), the other club which played at home this Thursday evening also won its match in the group I of Europa League.

Atletico de Madrid logically beat Celtic Glasgow in stadium Vicente-Calderon. The Colchoneros scored early in the game, thanks to their forward Falcao, winner of the competition last year with Porto (3’). The Madrilenians scored a second goal in the second half, throught their other star recruit, Brazilian Diego (68’).
A logical victory for the Spanish, who completely dominated their Scottish opponents. In two weeks, the Atletico will try to confirm this good result at the Stade de la Route de Lorient, against Stade Rennes.

After this first gameweek, Atletico is leading the group, just ahead of Udinese. Stade Rennes is third and Celtic in last position, because of a worst goal difference.
