Dréossi hoped to sell Bangoura... rather than Gyan

Talking to the club’s official website, Pierre Dréossi, the Stade Rennais’ general manager, revealed that the “Rouge et Noir” were looking at any opportunity to find a way out for Ismaël Bangoura during this summer transfer window.

"Ideally, we wanted to keep Gyan Asamoah for another season and sell Ismaël Bangoura.But the market decided otherwise”, he explained as an exotic destination was in the cards for the Guinean International over the last few days.

Bangoura will certainly feel quite aggrieved by Dréossi’s words. The management of the player’s situation can certainly be considered as doubtful since a few months by all means, and the latest developments are not likely to help Bangoura finding back the confidence he’s been lacking since a year.
