France U21 was defeated by Russia in a friendly this Tuesday (0-1). Following two consecutive victories against Denmark and Turkey, Érick Mombaerts’ players failed to extend the streak, losing to a Gatagov goal (63’).

Both Rennes players name in the squad took part in the game. Vincent Pajot started the game and played the first hour without really convincing. As for Yacine Brahimi, he replaced Manchester United’s Obertan at half time. The midfielder managed a satisfying performance.
