Youth : N'Gando wins the Academy's best player award

Stade Rennes has presented Axel N’Gando (photo) with the award for the best element at the Academy for the 2010-2011 season.

This trophy rewards the sportive performance of the player, naturally but also and in particular his behaviour and his efforts at school.
A young seventeen years old midfielder, Axel N’Gando has arrived at the Stade Rennais in 2007 from Paris Saint-Germain, where he had been playing for two seasons. Born in Asnières-sur-Seine (95), he had previously played for little clubs in the Greater Paris Area.

Already considered as a good prospect on his arrival, N’Gando has known a logical progression over the last four seasons and should play most of his football with the Reserve next season.
Receiving the award, he succeeds to players such as Gaëtan Caro, Vincent Pajot, Quentin Rouger or Dimitri Foulquier, the winners for the previous seasons.
