Europa League: The Udinese returns to the lead in Serie A

The Udinese could be coming to Rennes as a Serie A leader on 30th November. After having abandoned the leading position to the Juventus for a few weeks, the team from Friuli has taken it back this Sunday by beating Sienna (2-1) while the game between Napoli and the Juventus was postponed because of the flooding in the south of the country.
As often, Francesco Guidolin’s men opened the score very soon, with a goal by Serbian player Dusan Basta (2’) before Di Natale, scoring his eighth goal in nine games, completed the break just after the hour mark (64’)

The team against Sienna : Handanovic - Benatia, Danilo, Domizzi - Basta (Agyemang-Badu, 75’), Isla, Asamoah, Pinzi (Abdi, 75’), Armero - Floro Flores (Ekstrand, 82’), Di Natale.

After bouncing back by trashing the Italian team last Tursday, the Atlético Madrid has returned to a difficult league season, losing yet another game, this time on Getafe’s ground (3-2).
This time, the Colchoneros had all the cards in hand to win the game: just before the half-hour, Diego obtained a penalty and the dismissal of a Getafe defender. Falcao converted the spor-kick (29’) and the Atlético owned an advantage both on the score-board and in terms of numbers on the pitch. However, Getafe would equalise through a direct free-kick scored by former Paris man Abdelaziz Barrada (40’), and even take the lead when a free-kick by the same Barrada was pushed home by Michel (49’).
After running after the score for thirty minutes, Madrid finally managed to equalise through its defender Dominguez (81’), only to concede a controversial penalty a few seconds later, which Diego Castro converted without any questions (84’). A really hurtful defeat therefore for the Atlético, which falls in eleventh position in the standings.

The team against Getafe : Courtois - Lopez (Salvio, 71’), Godin (Miranda, 46’), Dominguez, Filipe - Gabi, Tiago (Koke, 58’) - Adrian, Diego, Turan - Falcao.

Finally, after their defeat on Thursday against Stade Rennes, the Celtic confirmed this Sunday by managing an important success on the pitch of Motherwell, who preceded them in the table before the game (2-1). After conceding the first goal on a header by Higdon (11’) following a short corner, the Bhoys were soon back in the game.
After scoring a brace against Rennes, Anthony Stokes exploited a flick-on on a corner by Samaras to place a perfect volley (14’). And with 10 minutes left to play, the Celtic finally scored the winning goal, when Gary Hooper exploited an assist from Stokes (80’).
This new success is another breath of fresh air for Neil Lennonm and allows the Celtic to return to second position in the league table, still twelve points behind the Rangers.

The team against Motherwell : Forster - Cha, Rogne, Majstorovic, Matthews - Forrest (McGeouch, 90’), Kayal, Wanyama, Commons (Hooper, 59’) - Stokes, Samaras (McCourt, 77’).
