Former players: Pouplin on trial at Évian

Finally not chosen by FC Nantes, who preferred Rudy Riou, Simon Pouplin is still looking for a new club after the end of his contract in Freiburg.

Since this Thursday and until the end of the week, the former Rennes keeper is on trial at à Évian Thonon Gaillard (Ligue 1). Indeed, the newly promoted club is looking to recruit a new keeper: The number one choice, Bertand Laquait, will miss the beginning of the season with a thigh injury, while his substitute Johann Durand is suffering with a knee injury.
If he manages to convince the coaching staff in Savoie, Pouplin could join a squad in which his former team-mates Cédric Barbosa, Jérôme Leroy and Olivier Sorlin are all playing.
