International: the Rennais’ schedule

International: the Rennais' schedule

This week, several players will be absent at La Piverdière because of their selection with their national team.

Yann M’Vila, called by Laurent Blanc as usual, has already joined the French squad, gathered in Baillargues, near Montpellier. “Les Bleus” will face Chili at the stade de la Mosson in a friendly. This will be another occasion to observe the choice made by the national coach, with the competition of Blaise Matuidi, Yohan Cabaye and principally Alou Diarra for M’Vila.

In the U21 category, Érick Mombaerts has scheduled a training camp in Clairefontaine, deserted by “Les Bleus”. No friendly game is scheduled for a national team gathered until Wednesday. Abdoulaye Diallo has been called, as well as Yacine Brahimi. The latter remains doubtful because of a knock to the fibula received against Rustavi. For that reason, Mombaerts called Paris youngster Jean-Christophe Bahebeck to reinforce the squad.

Initially not included in the list set-up by his national coach, Alexander Tettey was finally called up before of the absence of Bjørn Helge Riise. The Rennes midfielder will play a friendly against Czech Republic in Oslo.

Two Rennes players have also packed their luggage to join the African continent. Kader Mangane will play a friendly game with Senegal against Morroco, in Dakar. Meanwhile, Jonathan Pitroipa will face a much longer trip: the new Rennais will fly to South Afrika, for a friendly game with Burkina Faso against the Bafana Bafana in Johannesburg.

No other Rennes player will be missing this week. Razak Boukari’s Togo decided to call mainly players from the local championship for a friendly against Niger; John Boye wasn’t called with Ghana; Victor Hugo Montaño’s Colombia is resting after the Copa América ; Finally, the Morroco U21 team of Yassine Jebbour and Yacine Qasmi hasn’t scheduled any friendly game.
