Transfers, Fanni: Discussions abandoned this Wednesday

As we announced on Tuesday (also read), the negotiations regarding a possible transfer of Rod Fanni to Olympique Marseille were another stake of the game between the teams in Ligue 1.

Jean-Claude Dassier, president of Marseille, announced to AFP after the game that the case was “in stand-by, maybe even closed”, because of the teams’ “distant positions”.

It seems that the clubs could not agree on the transfer fee. “Our position was judged insufficient, and we reckon their demand is excessive”, the OM President explained. He also affirmed that the Stade Rennais requested “much more” than the 3.5 million reported in the press.

«We can’t afford to spend so much money. We will work differently, there are other possibilities”, he finished.
