Marveaux at Stade Rennes, it’s over

The information had already been ventured at the beginning of January, it is now official: Sylvain Marveaux will probably never wear the Stade Rennais shirt again.

Injured against Brest on November 20th, the man from Vannes suffers of the same injury that kept him out of most of the 2008-2009 season, the calcification on an adductor injury.
Forced to undergo surgery, Marveaux will be on the theatre in the Parisan area this Wednesday, and should not recover before the end of the season. Already operated mid-November 2008, he had only returned to the competition in May 2009, six months later.

With a contract expiring in June this year, Marveaux is indeed very unlikely to recover any time near that date, and he will leave his training club while continuing his convalescence, for a destination that remains unknown to this day.
