Coaching Staff: Pagis returns to the pitch

On July 26th, 2010, Mickaël Pagis brought his career as a football player to an end, aged 36. However, this announcement wasn’t the end of the collaboration between the former striker and the Stade Rennais.
Indeed, the club proposed him to work alongside Laurent Huard, every Thursday, to help coaching the reserve and prepare his reconversion as a coach.

Mickaël Pagis as a coach.The idea wasn’t new. As soon as the end of 2009, with the player’s contract approaching and as he was kept out of Antonetti’s squad, the idea to include the player in the coaching staff as an attacking coach had been advanced.

And the idea has been materialised, since this morning, at the Piverdière, the “Pagician” put his boots on again to train Romain Danzé and Fabien Lemoine at taking free-kicks, the Mensuel de Rennes explains.
