Piverdière : the new training ground is in operation

With winter slowly settling in, the Rennes squad has inaugurated a new pitch at the training centre of La Piverdière.

Announced in April, the building of this new training ground has been made completed progressively. Judged too sticky during winter, the usual training turf used by the pros will therefore be regularly abandoned in favour of this new pitch, which quality is deemed to be equal to this of the Stade de la Route de Lorient.
The objective of the club is to try and limit the number of injuries suffered during the winter season.

Mid April this year, the works had triggered the anger of an farmer who was renting the two hectares of grounds off the City of Rennes (also owning the training centre) until then, which will now be used by the Rennes footballers (Read (in French)).
