International: Gyan, Mandjeck & Mangane called up to their National Teams

As the season prepares to begin, three Stade Rennais African international have been selected by their respective national teams for a friendly game, on August 11th.

As opposed to the other two, Asamoah Gyan ’s selection is surprising, since the player has only just come back to training with Rennes (26th July). By all means, this cap will allow him to fight his daemons, when the “Black Stars” travel … South Africa, at the Soccer City Stadium in Johannesburg, where “Babyjet” famously missed his penalty against Uruguay (1-1, 2-4 pen.) during the last World Cup’s quarter-finals.

Georges Constant Mandjeck was also selected by Paul Le Guen for a friendly game against Poland, to be played in Berlin (Germany). Last but not least, Rennes’ new captain Kader Mangane has also been called up for a friendly game against Cape Verde Islands. The game will be played in Dakar (Senegal).

Let’s remind these games will be played between the Ligue 1 first (against Lille) and second (in Nancy) game weeks. Consequently, Frédéric Antonetti will have to do without these three elements during the interval.
