Former Players: Louhoungou on trial in Ligue 2

Free since he left Kocaelispor (Turkey) this summer, David Louhoungou is currently on a trial at Boulogne-sur-Mer (Ligue 2). This Tuesday, he was even included in the squad for a friendly against CFA2 (5th level) team Grande-Synthe, which Boulogne easily won 6 to 0.

Playing the whole game as a defensive midfielder, he also played one half of the game alongside his former Rennes Academy team-mate Vincent Pajot (one goal in this game), currently loaned in the Nord club until the end of the season.

A winner of the 2008 Gambardella Cup, in which he was a starter in the squad beating Bordeaux (3-0) in the final, the Congo international was released at the end of his trainee contract. In June 2009, he was on trial at Mlada Boleslav (Czech Republic) before eventually signing his first professional contract with Hamilton Academical FC (Scotland).

However, Louhoungou would only remain in Scotland until December and agreed on the termination of his contract with the club. After an unsuccessful trial in Bastia in January 2010, he joined Turkish second division team Kocaelispor for six months.
