Reserve: Julienne gives the victory to Rennes

The Stade Rennais reserve won against Carquefou on Sunday afternoon at la Piverdière, 1-0 thanks to another goal by Frank Julienne, his fourth of the season. After Viry-Châtillon and Lorient, this is the third home victory for Laurent Huard’s young players.

Left back Kévin Beauverger, usually playing with the U19 team, started in the Rennes defence were Souprayen was missing. Two young players from the 1993 generation were on the match sheet as U18 French international Abdoulaye Doucouré entered the field after one hour, replacing Kamal Issah Sissoko. The Ghanaian midfielder, having signed a professional contract since a few days, was starting again in the Rennes midfield after his first game, last week in Romorantin.
