Apam to return early December?

Since he signed at Stade Rennais on June 29 this year, Onyekachi Apam is still to play his first goal with Rennes. Worse, the Nigerian defender sstill hasn’t been able to train properly with his team-mates.

The reason to this is a complicated convalescence after undergoing knee surgery this summer. “His return was delayed as he suffered two muscular injuries since then”, Frédéric Antonetti explains on the club’s official website.

According to the manager, Apam could be joining collective training “early December”, before the possibility of a return to competition (initially with the Reserve?) in the following weeks. “We remain cautious”, Antonetti tempers, who hopes to be able to count on his former defender at Nice to bring more concurrence in defence.
