Transfers: No more departures this winter

The winter transfer window will start in a bit less than three weeks. Beside the announced recruitment of two attacking players, Rod Fanni’s recent departure has opened the door to the arrival of a defender.

After making this announcement on RMC on Wednesday evening (read previously), Frédéric Antonetti repeated that the Stade Rennais would look at recruiting another defender in case Onyekachi Apam failed to return from injury in January. “There’s no problem with the management, the Rennes coach affirmed. everyone at the club is well aware that a defender is needed”.

As for the possible rumours of departures that could be arriving during January, Antonetti is adamant. “No one will leave”, the manager insisted. A reassuring message after the massive player exodus last summer, but which might also be forgetting the case of Bira Dembélé, left with the reserve team since the beginning of the season.
