Discipline : Douchez available against Paris SG

Sent off during the game in Sochaux (5-1) last Saturday, Nicolas Douchez was serving an automatic ban for the Coupe de France’s Round of 16 game against Reims (3-4 A.e.t) two days ago. However, the presence of the Rennes goalkeeper against Paris Saint Germain was still subject to the decision of the League’s discipline commission, gathered yesterday.

After studying the case, the Ligue de Football Professionnel decided to limit Douchez’ suspension to only one game (against Reims). Consequently, the former Toulouse keeper will return in the Rennes goals instead of Johann Carrasso, who should return to the bench. Unless Frédéric Antonetti prefers to select Abdoulaye Diallo after the more than average performance by the French U21 international last Tuesday in the Coupe de France.
