Rennes - Lorient : Kana-Biyik and Théophile-Catherine are doubtful

During the press conference this Thursday, Frédéric Antonetti pointed that two of his defenders were not sure to be fit to play against Lorient.
While Kader Mangane should return, the Rennes manager could have to think his tactics without Jean-Armel Kana-Biyik and Kévin Théophile-Catherine.

During training last Wednesday, the first-named – who had already felt some pain against Brest on Saturday – has felt the same pain returning after a knock with a team-mate. “It isn’t much but it is quite worrying before Saturday’s game”, Antonetti explained according to the Mensuel de Rennes. With the cascade of injuries striking the Stade Rennais this season, the defender could therefore be rested this Saturday to be replaced by John Boye.

As for Théophile-Catherine, he still suffers from a knock to the fibula received at Francis-Le Blé. Rested at training this week, the Saint-Brieuc man will “undergo a scan” this Friday in order to decide whether he is fit to play against Lorient.
