Moussa Sow, best scorer of Ligue 1

Moussa Sow, best scorer of Ligue 1

Author of hat-trick against Stade Rennais (3-2), Moussa Sow won at the same time the title of best scorer of Ligue 1. With 25 goals, he outdistances the Lorientais Kévin Gameira, three goals behind him.

Moussa Sow becomes the second player trained at the Stade Rennais to obtain this title of best scorer, after Sylvain Wiltord in 1999. Six other former players were consecrated in the past, including four when they played with the red and black team.
It was the case of German player Walter Kraiser in 1933, of Jean Grumellon in 1950, of Stéphane Guivarc’h in 1997 and 1998 and of Alexander Frei in 2005. André Guy (when he played for Lyon in 1969), Shabani Nonda (with Monaco in 2003) and therefore the French-Senegalese Lille striker completes this list.
