Former players : Faty goes to Turkey

According to multiples medias, in particular RMC and the website France Football, former Rennes player Jacques Faty has signed a three years contract with Sivasspor (Turkey, D1)

The french-Senegalese defender, who has played with Sochaux since 2008, will reach the term of his contract at the end of the month. Trained in Stade Rennais the former U-17 world champion played 5 years as professional under the red & black flag, almost 150 games under Vahid Halilhodžić and Laszlo Bölöni’s management.

In 2007, also at the end of his contract with Rennes, he left Brittany to Olympique de Marseille. A disappoiting experience during one season, since he had difficulties to adapt to a new position as a right-defender.

In Turkey, Faty will play in a club who has known another former rennes player during the past couple of years , Lucien Aubey.
