Antonetti : “Really better” in terms of creativity

Lengthily questioned in the latest issue of France Football, Frédéric Antonetti is satisfied with the summer preparation of his team, notably because of the youth of his squad.

«I’ve got a very hard working squad, the Rennes manager rejoices. When there are experienced players in a squad, they rant a lot! Here, there’s no ranting, they train without complaining. The older players are sometimes struggling to cope with a heavy workload. A very young squad is more flexible».

A squad, which Frédéric Antonetti deems better than this of last year, still hoping that the injury count won’t be as high this season. “The integration of the new players went well. Costil, Pitroipa, Féret, the latter two are already bringing a lot in terms of creativity”, the manager judges.
An added creativity which will make the difference – according to him – in the attacking animation. “On that aspect, we will be much better, Antonetti promises. You may say it won’t be difficult, since our creativity level was so low last season… And, we didn’t really strengthen the squad in terms of quality but also in quantity. With more creative players, we can achieve real human management”.
