CFA2: Stade Rennes B held to a draw in Deauville

On the road in Deauville-Trouville, the reserve team managed Laurent Huard conceeded a draw on the ground of CFA2’s bottom team (1-1), ending a run of five victories. Back from an injury, Kamal Issah (photo) scored the first goal of the game for Stade Rennes (0-1, 17’). But after an hour of play, David Benier allowed the Norman team to obtain a point, thus ending a run of four defeats.

This draw allows Stade Rennes to catch up with Saint-Malo (beaten 2-4 at home against Locminé) on the CFA2 table however. The two teams have now the same number of points (34), but Saint-Malo is first due to its victory against Stade Rennes last September (3-2). AS Vitré completes the podium, with 32 points.

Line-up : N’Diaye - Basse, Gérard, Boyer, Balisier - Sorin, Issah, Héry - Makila, Diarra, Rouger (cap) then Doucouré, Isambart and Lemonnier. Coach: Laurent Huard.
