Dimitri Foulquier until June 2015

In yesterday’s morning edition, daily newspaper Ouest-France announced that Dimitri Foulquier would imminently signe his first professional contract. According to L’Équipe’s website, the young Guadeloupean full-back and the Stade Rennais found an agreement, resulting in a contract binding the parties together until June 2015.

A fair reward for a player who has been wearing the captain’s armband with the Reserve, since the beginning of the season. Included in the professional squad this summer, Foulquier had shown encouraging performances before a difficult Ligue 1 debut in Lille, last October, and a confirmation of all hopes placed in him, last Thursday at Atlético Madrid.
This signature could signify a change in the hierarchy of right-backs at the Stade Rennais, since Yassine Jebbour is also playing at this position.
