Dréossi discuss the rest of the transfer window

During the Press conference organised to introduce Julien Féret to the media, Pierre Dréossi agreed to discuss the evolution of the summer transfer window in Rennes.

After the last minute defection of Jérémy Morel, the search for a left back by trade seems to be the priority. “We are looking at two or three profiles, we are looking at the possibilities on that level, Dréossi explained. It will take us a good week, maybe ten days”. Which means the new recruit is unlikely to join the club before the return to training, on Monday. The latest rumours were mentioning interests for French-Cameroonese Gaëtan Bong (Valenciennes), Slovakian international Marek Čech (West Bromwich) and Moroccan international Bakr El Kaddouri (Dynamo Kiev).

An attacking reinforcement is also expected. At the moment, Stade Rennes are looking at hiring at least one player, if not two, “but this is not an obligation” according to the general manager. One thing is certain, the targeted players are playing in Europe, not in Latin America, according to Dréossi.
Finally, with rumours of an interest from English clubs for Jean-Armel Kana-Biyik, and with Kader Mangane seeming to balance between a departure and a contract extension, the Rennes manager affirmed he is “not far from 100%” sure to keep his two defenders.
