Europa League : Rennes will play the return leg at home

Although they should have travelled to Belgrad for the return leg of their Europa League play-off, Stade Rennes will finally have the advantage to play the second on their home turf to try and qualify.

With Partizan Belgrade being host to Irish team Shamrock Rovers FC On the same day, the UEFA has finally decide to invert the order of the games between Stade Rennes and the Red Star. For security reasons, the European federation avoids, indeed, to schedule two games in the same city and on the same day. Since Partizan is seeded as champions of Serbia, it is the Red Star Belgrade who will have to travel for the return leg.

An inversion confirmed by the Red Star on their official website, precising that the UEFA announced the decision to them two hours after the draw. Stade Rennes will therefore host the Serbian club on August 25th, a week after travelling to Belgrade.
