Former Players : Diatta in Tunisia

According to website sport365.fr, former Rennes defender Lamine Diatta has signed a one year contract with Tunisian club Étoile du Sahel.

The Senegalese international was on trial since several days, and has visibly convinced the club from Sousse.

Since he left Rennes, Diatta has accumulated experiences with mixed fortunes. After two average seasons in Lyon, he played in Saint-Etienne for a year and left France. He then signed at Besiktas in summer 2007, but played very little and bought back the rest of his contract in March 2008 to sign at Newcastle… Which he would leave two months later.

Without a club, he ended up signing at Hamilton (Scotland) in March 2009, but only remained there for a month before leaving to Al-Ahli (Qatar). An experience in Qatar that would only last a few months, before Diatta eventually arrived in Tunisia.
