As planned, Dijon have obtained their first ever promotion to Ligue 1 this Friday, finishing Ligue 2 in third position despite a defeat against Angers (0-1).

Next season, Stade Rennais will face one of its former players, Patrice Carteron, on the burgundy bench, and maybe Olivier Dall’Oglio too, if he continues his duty as deputy coach at the dijon club.

Others formers players were celebrating on Friday, those who are in the Evian Thonon-Gaillard squad. Already assured to play in the top flight, they have secured the title of French champion of ligue 2 by winning against Metz (4-3).
Cédric Barbosa, Olivier Sorlin and Nicolas Goussé are adding a line to their achievements. The latter ends his career on a postive note, since he quits professional football at the end of this season.

Trained in Thouars, Goussé began his professional career with Stade Rennais in 1996. He spent three years in Brittany and went on to deligh several clubs, including ES Troyes with whom he has scored fifteen goals in Division 1 during 2001-2002 season. After 15 years of top level, Goussé is retiring on a final high.
Just giving him a few times on the field this season (7 games played), his coach has given him a beautiful tribute, allowing him to play during the last minutes of this last game.
