Rennes - Udinese : M. Karasev to referee

The UEFA has designated the referee to take charge of Wednesday’s game between Stade Rennais and Udinese at the Route de Lorient.

A Russian quintet will be in charge for this game, with M. Sergey Karasev, aged 32, acting as central referee. A promising referee, he has only been officiating at the international level since 2010, after debuting in the Russian Premier-Liga in 2008. His first game in the group phase of the Europa League came earlier this season, with a Lazio Roma – Skopje match followed by Hapoël Tel-Aviv - PSV Eindhoven.

M. Karasev has been giving an average four yellow cards per game, and a red card every five games.
