A few uncertainties before kick-off
Ligue 1, Dijon - Stade rennais, Sunday, 17:00. Frédéric Antonetti is taking a group of nineteen players to Burgundy. The biggest interrogation is probably lying in the ability of M’Vila and Brahimi to hold their place this Sunday afternoon, for the team’s first game in Ligue 1.
Facing the first physical issues of this 2011-2012 season, Frédéric Antonetti has decided to take a group of nineteen players for this Stade Rennais game on Sunday. A group in which M’Vila, Brahimi and Doumbia are announced as doubtful, the first two because of the knock received – respectively to the Achilles tendon and fibula – against the Metallurgist Rustavi.
The return of Doumbia is the only change brought by the Rennes manager to his squad, with Verhoek remaining out of the squad and Lemoine suspended for this game. Kembo, Pajot and Mavinga are yet not ready to hope to appear in the squad.
The main interrogation before Sunday’s game is concerning these three players. According to the training this Saturday morning, M’Vila should be holding his position and Doumbia could start the game, while Tettey didn’t really convince this Thursday evening. Brahimi was missing, and didn’t take part in Friday’s training. If Frédéric Antonetti was forced to do without him, he would probably line up – still according to the training – Boukari on the left and Montaño at centre forward.
