It’s time to return!

A month after the final Ligue 1 game week, the 2011-2012 season starts slowly with the return to training at La Piverdière. The beginning of four and a half weeks of preparation before the Stade Rennais starts its season in the Europa League.

It's time to return!

This Monday morning, Frédéric Antonetti had summoned his players for the first training session after the holiday break. The opportunity for the club’s first two recruits, Benoît Costil and Julien Féret, to make their first appearance with the Rennes squad. As usual, the beginning of this week should be focusing on physical training and medical tests.

Several players are yet to join the squad, having seen their holidays delayed by international duties. This will be the case for Yacine Brahimi, Kader Mangane, Yann M’Vila and Vincent Pajot, who will only return to training on July 4th, three days before the team travel to Carnac for the traditional pre-season training camp.
During this camp, Rennes will play their first two friendlies, against Vannes (On July 13th in Vannes) and Angers (on July 16th in Carnac) before two games against Ligue 1 sides to complete the preparation.

27th June: Training resumes at La Piverdière
7th to 16th July : Pre-season training camp in Carnac (Morbihan)
13th July : Friendly, Vannes - Rennes (in Vannes)
16th July: Friendly, Rennes - Angers (in Carnac)
20th July: Friendly, Rennes - Sochaux (in Rennes)
23th July: Friendly, Rennes - Lorient (in Ploërmel)
28th July: Europa League – Third qualifying round
6th August : Ligue 1, Dijon - Rennes (Game Week 1)
