Reserve : Goals, Goals and more Goals...
Reserve, Stade Rennais 5-3 Lorient. Three times defeated since the beginning of the season, the Stade Rennais Reserve won a pleasant victory against Lorient this Saturday, 5 goals to 3. With a hat-trick and an assist to his name, young striker Julienne was the clear attraction in this game.
Struggling since the beginning of the CFA season, the « Rouge et Noir » Reserve was expected to take something out of this encounter against another Professional Reserve. Defeated 1-0 in Fontenay last week, Rennes had to react in order not to be sucked towards the bottom of the standings.
Kembo-Ekoko as a playmaker
A little surprise in Laurent Huard’s starting line-up, with Jirès Kembo-Ekoko starting as a playmaker in front of 2 holding midfielders: Gaëtan Caro and Vincent Le Boulaire. In the goals, Abdoulaye Diallo played his second game of the season. In defense, from right to left: Yassine Jebbour, Fabien Balisier, Bira Dembélé, Samuel Souprayen.
As he was expected to take the Keys of Rennes midfield, Quentin Rouger was starting on the right wing with Abdoul Camara starting on the left. At centre-forward, Frank Julienne (picture) was given the nod with the ambition to find the success he had been looking for since the beginning of this season. On the bench, Benjamin Basse (Full back, winger), Jean-Bryan Boukaka (striker, right winger), Abdoulaye Doucouré (defensive midfielder), Vincent Dorel (goalkeeper) and Slimane Sissoko (striker) were completing the game sheet.
