Injuries: Lemaître “sincerely sorry” for Lemoine

Questionned yesterday about Fabien Lemoine’s situation, Reynald Lemaître said he was "really sorry" after the Rennes midfielder’s injury. Fiftenn minutes had been played when both men clashed in the air: "I tried to win the ball. I jumped higher than him and my knees clashed with his kidneys", explains the Nancy defender, who immediately understood his opponent would remain on the floor.

"I really did not want to do this. I immediately saw it was bad, by the way he was breathing. I’ll go and visit him to apologise, hoping he gets well soon". A sincere message from Lemaître, who went twice to the Rennes dressing room, at half-time and after the game to take news of Lemoine. The player is still in observation at Nancy’s hospital.
