Transfers: is Rennes interested in Huseklepp?

Transfers: is Rennes interested in Huseklepp?

Looking for an attacking player to reinforce their squad during the winter transfer window, Stade Rennes are dropping few hints about their transfer targets.

A few days ago, we learnt that the club had sent scouts to Norway, in order to watch Erik Huseklepp (see previously), the Brann Bergen striker, but no additional information was revealed.

In all cases, the players seems ready to leave his home country. Talking to the Norwegian, and quoted by Ouest-France, Huseklepp admits that he “always dreamt to play abroad”.

«I know the club wants to keep me, but my managers know my intentions », the Norwegian also explained, whose contract with the Bergen club runs until the end of 2013.

The Norwegian League, played over the civil year, came to end last week-end, with Brann finishing at a modest thirteenth position (out of sixteen). A block removed for the Stade Rennais on their way to a possible transfer (at the time, Alexander Tettey’s transfer had been delayed by Rosenborg’s will to keep their player in June and July, at the heart of the Norwegian season), that’s if Pierre Dréossi and the recruitment unit are really interested in signing Huseklepp.

Recently, the rumour of a first offer from Rennes for the player was denied by the Norwegian club.
