Busy first day for Fanni

Busy first day for Fanni

After the agreement between all parties was announced on Wednesday, Rod Fanni’s transfer from Rennes to Marseille was official announced on Thursday. A particularly busy day for the right back

After spending the night in town, Fanni completed the medical before signing a two and a half year contract. In the morning, he also took part in his first training session at the Commanderie, with his new number 27.

Introduced to the press at lunch time, Fanni did not hide his satisfaction at the completion of his transfer. Without big revelation, the new Marseille player reminded that his initial wish was to play for a foreign team. “But Marseille made a proposal, and it made me think, the French international explained. If it had been any other French club, I would not even have thought about it”.

Under the media limelight this Thursday, Fanni was obviously the centre of all attention. It will certainly still be the case on Sunday against Lyon.
