Dréossi «would like Douchez to sign a contract extension»

The interest of Stade Rennes to try and extend the contract of Nicolas Douchez has been confirmed this Tuesday by Pierre Dréossi in an interview to the club’s official website.

The Rennes general manager explained that, because of the « very good season » managed by the keeper, the club « would like to extend his contract ».
With a contract expiring in June, Douchez will be free to choose were to continue his career. The former Toulouse keeper, who will turn 31 in April, will be able to look at the various offers he could receive, including Stade Rennes’.

At this moment, Douchez hasn’t decided what orientation to give to his career (read previously). As for Pierre Dréossi, he knows he hasn’t got the upper hand on that particular case. “We will see if he wants to continue with us”, he explained.
